The Legacy Foundation of Palm Beach County was formed in 2016 as an extension of outreach programs originally created by the Palm Beach Pops Orchestra. These programs taught over 100,000 children in Palm Beach County Schools the rudiments of music – harmony, melody and Rhythm for nearly 20 years.
The Foundation is entirely focused on addressing the erosion of culture and the lack of appreciation of culture in a generation that is now driven by electronically produced music and less performing arts. The erosion of culture, etiquette and the messaging associated with some of today’s popular music is sometimes less than positive for the youth of our communities.
It is our hope that we can help to infuse a positive message through culture back into our communities by providing opportunities to young, promising musical talent that otherwise would not be able to pursue their musical aspirations due to financial constraints.
Application Process
Our application process and audition process, which happens twice per year, is not only very moving, but makes all of our efforts and your prospective support 100% worth it. The application process will open the last Monday of each February and the last Monday of each August for 30 days.
